Linn Achieves ISO 14001:1996 Certification

Linn Products Limited, the independent Glasgow based manufacturer of precision engineered music, home theatre and multi-room systems, is pleased to announce the company has been granted ISO 14001:1996 certification in recognition of the company’s environmental policies employed in the design, build and test of hi-fi and entertainment systems at their Head Office in Waterfoot, Eaglesham, and their metalwork manufacturing facility in Castlemilk, Glasgow.
Linn’s Environmental Management System, which meets the requirements of the internationally recognised ISO 14001:1996 standard, ensures the company effectively minimises any potentially harmful effects on the environment caused by its activities, achieves continual improvement of its environmental performance, and ensures the company meets all necessary statutory and regulatory obligations.

ISO stands for the International Organisation for Standardisation. The ISO 14001 family of environmental standards has earned a global reputation as the basis for establishing environmental management systems. The ISO standards form a basis for continual improvement and business excellence and are used for certification/registration for contractual purposes by organizations seeking recognition of their quality management system.
Linn achieved ISO 9001:2000 certification in 2002 in recognition that the company has a Quality Management System meeting the requirements of the International Organisation for Standardisation.
